Dear Loyal Friends and Supporters:
I have been very fortunate during my 14 years at Prime Time House to have been a part of the tremendous growth and expansion of services we offer. In the beginning years, we would refer to Prime Time as “the Clubhouse”. This stands to reason, as it was the only program operating at that time and the cornerstone of the agency today. I am proud to have seen the agency grow from the Clubhouse to what we are today: a full service human services agency known as Prime Time House, Inc. (P.T.H.)
During this time, the agency grew from one program to several programs, from offices over a storefront to a spacious property and four building campus in downtown Torrington. We have added two satellite offices and an employment program in Lakeville Connecticut. I have assisted in the creation and growth of our Subsidiary Friends of Prime Time House, Inc. (F.O.P.T.H) which operates as the Realty holder and Fundraising Arm of the agency and whose most recent endeavor has been the creation of a high end Thrift Store called “Prime Finds”.
Over the years I have operated in various capacities here at P.T.H including C.F.O., Director of Operations and currently Chief of Finance & Operations. I have worked in and overseen all Administrative departments: Human Resources, Accounting, Payroll, IT and Systems Development, Fundraising and Development and many aspects branching from these areas. The difference today is management is performed on a much larger scale.
Each year brings new challenges to the organization. The responsibility of the Chief of Finance & Operations is to create and maintain a fiscally sound environment to absorb these changes. I strive to consistently create a solid foundation to encompass new programs, the expansion of existing programs and the strategic objectives that fit within the mission and vision of P.T.H. Inc.
We accomplish this in many ways by setting clear goals and priorities for acquiring new revenue sources, sound fiscal management and hiring efficient and qualified staff to oversee all business processes and database management systems. We, as a team, ensure the integrity of the day to day operations so the programs can focus on the amazing work they do providing employment, education, housing assistance, meals and so much more to a population of individuals that are often overlooked in society.
You have supported and encouraged us from the beginning and every step of way since. I and our entire organization thank you.
Sincerely,
Tina M. Yard
Chief of Finance & Operations
